To learn more about this topic, in secular society one can find studies about ethnomusicology, which is the meeting point of musicology and anthropology. In the international church we find ourselves in, one finds the area of ethnodoxology (“ethne” meaning people groups, “doxos” meaning glory of praise). Dave Hall introduced this term and said; “I define ethnodoxology as ‘the study of the worship of God among diverse cultures’ or, more precisely, ‘the theological and practical study of how and why people of diverse cultures praise and glorify the true and living God as revealed in the Bible’.” *
